Activities Assistant -Nursing Care Building
Part Time- 24 hrs/wk
8am-430pm (Weekdays: Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

SUMMARY OF POSITION
In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Activities Assistant assists in organizing, directing and carrying out a program of activities which covers spiritual development, recreation, diversion, intellectual/educational development for residents as an integral part of total resident care.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Valid Ohio Driver’s license in good standing.
Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
Walk, stand and sit intermittently during the day.
Availability to work on evenings, and some holidays.
Must have an understanding of the social, psychological and recreational needs of older adults on a continuum of care campus and must be able to plan and organize activities geared to these needs.
Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm and must be able to work effectively with people.
Must possess strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
Must have reliable transportation
