About the Role
Join a well-established hospitalist team of 60+ FTEs, supported by a dedicated group of nocturnists and APPs, with a closed ICU and strong interdisciplinary collaboration.
As Associate Medical Director, you will:
- Lead operational strategy and daily functions for the Hospitalist team with 0.5 FTE protected administrative time and 0.5 FTE clinical duties.
- Collaborate with an experienced Assistant Medical Director focused on quality outcomes and operations.
- Partner with the Hospital Medicine RN Supervisor and liaise with nursing and other inpatient services.
- Be supported by a dedicated Office Assistant for calendar management and scheduling.
- Report to the Medical Director of Adult Inpatient Services and work in dyad partnership with the Director of Hospital Operations with strong background and data analytics.

Qualifications
- MD/DO, board-certified in Internal or Family Medicine
- Active Illinois medical license or ability to obtain
- 5+ years of clinical experience preferred
- Prior leadership experience is strongly preferred
- Additional training (MBA, MHA, leadership development) is a plus

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $345,000 - $527,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
