The UTMB Division of Nephrology and Hypertension is seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinician Educator with a passion for teaching to actively participate in our division's educational activities at the Associate Professor level. Join our dynamic team as we launch new clinical and research initiatives and work together to transform kidney patient care. This role will involve significant education responsibilities and will provide patient care in a clinical setting for General Nephrology patients in Galveston, League City and assigned Dialysis locations, three half days per week.
Our Division of Nephrology & Hypertension boasts a comprehensive General Nephrology practice, a Transplant practice, and an Interventional Nephrology program led by the renowned 'Father of Interventional Medicine,' offering a well-rounded curriculum for Nephrology fellows. Additionally, our division is expanding its research program, focusing on clinical trials, translational research, and bench science in kidney care.
Candidate Requirements:
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Program and Nephrology Fellowship program.
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
- A strong commitment to patient care with demonstrated ability to mentor and teach medical students, residents and fellows.
- U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted state of Texas Medical License.
