Description
Position Overview
Are you a corporate practice refugee? Looking for that unicorn practice? Where you are both personally empowered and part of a team? Where the nurses pursue excellence right alongside you? Where the clients (okay, almost all clients) support top-notch care? Where you never have to work a weekend? Where you leave on time every day? Where you might balance home and work life with two to three day work weeks? That unicorn has a name: Carolina Pets Animal Hospital. We are currently a four doctor privately owned AAHA accredited hospital with a robust support staff. We are looking to add another full time or part time associate as we continue to grow in our stunning brand new hospital.
Location
Our practice is located in affluent Wesley Chapel, NC. We are 2 hours from the mountains and 3 from the beaches, close to city-life in Charlotte, yet we have preserved a rural feel with fantastic schools. (Yes, it is true. Wesley Chapel is a unicorn, too!)
Practice Overview
You will be part of the team in a brand new, beautiful facility with all of the bells and whistles. We have digital radiology reviewed by boarded radiologists, digital dental radiology, brand new adjustable dental table, new anesthesia and surgical equipment, new ultrasound and weekly travelling ultrasonographer, electrocautery, and Cubex for controlled substances. Wellness lab work is sent out and our in house lab includes Idexx machines, Epoc blood gas, urinalysis, Coags, and NuQ. But our tools, as great as they are, pale in comparison to our people. Our veterinarians have decades of experience and knowledge and encourage and support each other. We bounce ideas off each other daily and have the time and clientele to fully work up cases. Our support staff are truly exceptional – they are confident, experienced, and friendly and make your job easier, allowing you to focus on medicine. We have multiple registered technicians as well as assistants with years of experience. Each doctor is assigned two dedicated assistants and there are floaters and a triage nurse daily to handle phone calls, refills, scripts, and generally lighten your load. Our culture celebrates each others’ successes, focuses on continuing education, and supports balance with life outside of work. We have no emergency duties but still see enough challenging cases during the day to keep things interesting.

No On-Call or After-Hours Emergencies and you leave on time

We are looking for the right candidate and will consider full or part-time hours with flexible scheduling.
