The Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center is currently recruiting for a fellowship trained Breast Surgical Oncologist. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience with candidates likely at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicant must be American Board Certified in General Surgery and be eligible for a Texas Medical License.
Successful candidates will be committed to patient care, resident, and medical student education and scholarly activity that advance clinical medicine. Candidates will be an integral member of the breast surgical oncology team. The position will entail clinical responsibilities at both Clements University Hospital and Parkland Memorial Health and Hospital System. Specifically, the position entails the treatment of patients with breast malignancies. A commitment to basic or clinical research is not essential but can be appropriately supported. As a leading center of robotic breast surgery within the United States, the desire to be trained in this exciting technology would be supported through active mentorship.
