Job Summary
As a Clinical Educator RN 1, you'll be recognized for your clinical skills with a specific patient group. You'll provide care, teach, consult, research, and maintain positive relationships in the organization and community.
Essential Functions of the Role
- Delivering specialized care and education to a specific patient group.
- Conducting a comprehensive assessment of patients' conditions and identifying any unique nursing needs.
- Creating educational programs to improve staff and community knowledge. Includes public speaking and health fairs.
- Carrying out in-depth assessments of learning needs and creating easily understood patient educational materials as and when needed.
- Contributing to research aimed at improving the quality of educational programs, clinical practices, and patient outcomes.
- Sharing research findings at meetings locally, statewide, and nationally. Applying new literature to improve education and clinical practices.
- Creating tools to measure the success of learning goals and the effectiveness of curriculum content and teaching strategies.
- Provide guidance on teaching theory, adult education, and learning to improve nursing staff and healthcare personnel education quality.
- Employing internships, external programs, and orientation initiatives to effectively bring new staff into the practice environment.
Key Success Factors
- Familiarity and proficiency in nursing and patient care standards and methods.
- Knowledge of legal requirements, accreditation, and internal guidelines for nursing care in assigned area is essential.
- An understanding of medical ethics, nursing professionalism, and patients' rights to privacy.
- The ability to use diverse teaching techniques effectively.
- Excellent communication abilities, both orally and in writing.
- People skills to connect with varied groups effectively.
- Critical thinking and solving problems.
- Skills needed: basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, security, scheduling, payroll, medical documentation, and email proficiency.

Qualifications
- Associate's degree.
- Minimum of (2) two years of professional experience to the role.
- Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting.
