Job Summary | The Markey Cancer Center Precision Medicine Program is recruiting a Clinical Research Nurse II for several upcoming clinical trials. This individual will coordinate cutting edge first in human clinical trials designed to advance Precision Medicine Cancer Care and associated clinical outcomes to all residents in the state of Kentucky. This position is crucial for managing education, scheduling, care coordination and oversight of research treatment for enrolled patients. The successful candidate will be expected to ensure compliance with University of Kentucky policies and procedures and federal, state, and local regulations. In addition, the nurse researcher will serve as a resource to team members and other departments within the hospital as well as a liaison between investigators and study sponsors. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Understanding of related scientific and clinical terminology. Ability to identify complex/non-routine problems and work with leadership to solve them. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Good oral/written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills required. Computer proficiency to minimally include use of Microsoft Office applications, email, and internet. |

Preferred Education/Experience | ADN + 5 years of nursing experience required, or BSN + 3 years. UK equivalencies apply. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. All nurses hired after 10/1/2024 required to complete their baccalaureate nursing degree within 5 years of their hire date. |
