The faculty and staff of the University of New Mexico College of Nursing (CON) welcome you to a tradition of

We are currently recruiting a Director of Simulation to provide clinical, educational, and technical expertise in the
development, and evaluation of the College of Nursing Simulation Program. Responsible for working with faculty,
staff and students to ensure the highest quality simulation learning activities are integrated and implemented across
the undergraduate and graduate programs.
The Director of Simulation is responsible for the day-to day administration of the program for the College of
Nursing.
Responsibilities include:
- Enhance and integrate simulation and simulated experiences throughout the curriculum at the
undergraduate and graduate level. - Serve as a resource to the faculty for the design and application of clinical simulation used to educate and
evaluate the students. - Implement updated current evidence-based simulation modalities and learning strategies based on
research from conferences and peer reviewed publications - Select and oversee the purchase of equipment and educational aides for simulation (manikins, software,
media) which will facilitate the educational mission of the CON - Support and collaborate in the planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating competency-based
simulation education guided by best practice standards. - Supervise the Simulation Coordinator and Program Manager on a day-to-day basis including signing leave
and time sheet forms. - This includes the Health Science Rio Rancho (HSRR) Simulation Center supplies and equipment
individual in this position is also responsible for maintaining effective communication with leadership and ensuring
adherence to CON and University policies, implement a comprehensive evaluation plan, and works with the faculty
to interpret the data for continuous program improvement. This is a full-time 12-month appointment. The selected
applicant must commit to living in the Albuquerque metropolitan statistical area.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate degree
- 3 years or more of teaching experience with nursing simulation
- At least 5 years of clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD or equivalent
- Nursing Degree
- Certified HealthCare Simulation Educator, (CHSE)
- A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico
and to the success of the university’s mission to serve local and global communities - Eligible for RN Licensure in New Mexico
- Demonstrated leadership experience
