A hospital in eastern South Carolina has an opportunity for a Gastroenterologist to provide locum coverage.

Opportunity Details:

• Schedule: Friday 7a-Friday 7a, one week per month
• Setting: Hospital and clinic
• Daily Volume: 3 patients/hour in clinic or 16-18 endo patients
• Duties: 24-hour hospital call, scheduled endo lab procedures, consults, and clinic shifts
• Required Procedures: EGD, colonoscopy, flex sig
• Support Staff: PA, NP, LPN, MA, RN, CRNA, and tech
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible
• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered GST (Gastroenterology) South Carolina state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited GST (Gastroenterology) program
• One year of work experience as GST (Gastroenterology)
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
