Practice Overview
- Role: On-Call General Surgeon
- Work Setting: Critical Access Hospital, Level IV Trauma Center.
- Team: Work alongside a dedicated team, including OR staff, RN, Anesthesia, and ED.
- Procedures: Perform a range of general surgery procedures, including laparoscopic, basic GI endoscopic, hernia repair, and more.
- Autonomy: This is a solo on-call position with no supervision requirements, allowing for autonomous practice.
Job Details
- Schedule: 24-hour on-call coverage from Wednesday, 12/24 at 12:00p p.m. through Monday, 12/29 at 8:00a.
- Response Time: Must be able to respond to calls within 60 minutes.
- Onboarding: Onboarding may need to begin on 12/23.
- Compensation: The position offers a competitive package with hourly, call-in, and daily rates. Malpractice coverage is provided.
Candidate Requirements
- Certification: Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred due to the independent nature of the hospital. Candidates must meet the specific patient volume requirements outlined in the Clinical Privilege Request Form.
- Licensure: Must hold an active and unrestricted New Hampshire Medical License and an active DEA certificate.
- Certifications: ATLS and BLS from the American Heart Association are required.
