Optimum has an opening for a General Surgeon to join a great team at an established hospital in southern New Hampshire.

Enjoy a bread and butter caseload with support from a dedicated staff. During your time off, explore the area's beautiful natural scenery and charming downtown area.

About the Position:

• Schedule: 6a-3p
• 24/7 beeper call when on rotation
• Setting: Clinic and operating room
• Cases: Bread & butter, Endo, C-Sections
• Support Staff: 2 CMAs, 1 practice manager, 1 office nurse/triage, and 1 office coordinator
• Preferred Experience: 5+ years
• Board certification required

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered SUR (Surgery) New Hampshire state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited SUR (Surgery) program
• One year of work experience as SUR (Surgery)
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
