Manager Privacy
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To design, develop, and oversee the Americas privacy office program core functions including maintaining policies and procedures, monitoring compliance, and investigating issues or breaches.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE
- Provides guidance and oversight of the breach response program; reviews process flows and recommends improvements.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in compliance gap analysis, readiness assessments, and assists key stakeholders in mapping of data assets and processes.
- Conducts and reviews privacy impact assessments and provides risk mitigation actions.
- Reviews and advises on data privacy requirements in contracts, RFPs, and client questionnaires.
- Manages subject access requests and other data subject requests; assists with external disclosure requests and requirements.
- Trains stakeholder groups on data privacy, security, and ethics.
- Leads key strategic elements of the company's data privacy compliance program including policies, procedures, and compliance metrics.
- Informs, advises, and issues recommendations to data protection queries from internal and external stakeholders on data privacy and personal data processing and protection requirements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.
- Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
- Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in paralegal or privacy studies from an accredited college or university preferred. International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) credential preferred. Eight (8) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
