Description
OverviewA platinum club golf operation requiring a dynamic, energetic and team-oriented individual to provide a " Relaxed Platinum Service" to one of Houston's finest memberships. The position requires strong interpersonal engagement in Member & Guest relations and provides employees with recreational, outdoor experience in the Golf / Sports & Hospitality service industry.
Experience Required
Education and Experience:
- High School Education or higher preferred
- Knowledge of golf or premium hospitality industry preferred, but not necessary
- Desire to learn and grow in the golf industry
- Outstanding customer service skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Schedule & Certification Requirements:
- Flexible hours required:
- Ability and willingness to work on Holidays and Weekends; 5-day work weeks are our goal while 6-day work weeks may be required from time-to-time during major events.
- We are in the hospitality industry where Holidays and Weekends are peak service time periods
- CPR/AED Certification and knowledge of first aid preferred
- Class C Driver's license for operating a personal vehicle is required
Physical Requirements:
- Independent mobility throughout the Clubhouse & Club property
- Manual and finger dexterity to handle golf bags and clubs
- Hearing and talking sufficiently to communicate with members, guests, and co-workers
- Vision sufficient to read, plan and implement events
- Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 30lbs
- Required to bend, stoop, and stand up to 8 hours a day
- Must have high-level of physical fitness

- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in high-pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by the owners, the management team, co-workers, members and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions

Essential Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for providing Members & Guests with a "Relaxed Platinum Service" culture while executing the day-to-day operations of a dynamic golf operation.
The job will require, but not limited to:
- Personal interaction
- Embracing a culture of creating a memorable and welcoming atmosphere upon arrival & departure by delivering a "Relaxed Premium Service"
- Anticipating & servicing our Members & Guest's individual needs
- Track record of member and team member engagement; an authentic enjoyment of building relationships with members and team members is critical
- Involvement in the preparation and execution of a vibrant Men's and Ladies Golf Tournament schedule.
- Embracing a Golf centric Membership with a passion for Golf
- Embracing a dynamic, energetic, team-oriented experience that embraces creativity and idea generation that defines the Golf operation.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Meeting & greeting members & guests upon arrival.
- Managing the Driving Range, picking and cleaning golf balls, cleaning clubs, setting and breaking down the driving range, carrying golf bags, and assisting members with their needs
- Set up, break down and maintaining practice facility.
- Prepping, staging, and maintaining a golf car fleet of 75.
- Cleaning and storing Member's and Guest's golf clubs
- Assist Golf Professional Staff with day-to-day operations
- Communicating effectively with co-workers and management staff.
- Maintaining a clean, efficient, safe work environment.
- Assisting in other areas of the club, as required.

- Keep fiscal responsibility and member satisfaction in mind when making all decisions
- Take part in keeping Houston CC clean and litter free; Cleanliness is everyone's responsibility, take ownership in the Club
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing proper attire and name tag when working
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Houston CC standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the Club
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to all patrons
- Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
- Always comply with Houston CC standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient Club operations
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner and always maintain a professional image
- Be informed on, and promote all Club activities and services
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the entire facility
- Performs other duties as required by your manager
- Participate in Public Relations events as needed
- Attend meetings as required by management
- Perform other duties as required
