Job DescriptionAdvance your career in the Maryland/DC region! We invite you to join our team of multispecialty anesthesiologists at the University of Maryland. We're seeking board-eligible/board-certified MD/DO anesthesiologists to support our rapidly expanding growth, working in operating room, procedural and obstetrics suite environments. Opportunities currently exist at our Baltimore Washington Medical Center (BWMC) practice. Duties include clinical care and some teaching of learners at various levels-student registered nurse anesthetists, residents, etc.

Our academic department is dedicated to helping faculty obtain outstanding skills and additional certifications in ultrasound, simulation, quality/safety/clinical research and expertise in many other disciplines. Our department has a very strong research profile (#14 national 2024 Blue Ridge Ranking) and a major focus on quality/safety/clinical research, supported by a perioperative data warehouse and membership in the Multicenter Perioperative Outcomes Group (MPOG). Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate's experience.

The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
