Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The part-time Assistant II, Videography is responsible for assisting in the setup and production of video content.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assists in lighting, audio, and photography setup
• Edits video productions
• Assists in recording visual and audio content
• Works with internal clients throughout Lone Star College to produce still photography
• Assists with data management/organization of media assets
• Responsible for other r easonable, related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Skills in video p roduction (gaffing, grip, shooting)
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software (After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator)
• Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing technology, acquire new skills and keep up with upgrades in software/hardware and other relevant industry information

PHYSICAL ABILITIES :

• The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as video equipment, papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS :

• Equipment used includes videography equipment, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment, Any specialized equipment typical to videography
• Internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
• Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's degree, para-professional or technical certification, or trade school completion and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $13.93
