Psychiatric Technician (Safety) – Department of State Hospitals
Salary: $5,673 – $7,249/month

The Department of State Hospitals – Metropolitan is hiring multiple full-time, permanent Psychiatric Technicians (Safety) to provide care and support to forensic, LPS, and medically fragile patients. What You’ll Do:
Deliver patient-centered, compassionate psychiatric and behavioral care.
Assist in rehabilitation efforts to help patients progress toward recovery.
Collaborate in planning, evaluating, and implementing nursing care strategies.
Rotate through various units/shifts based on hospital needs.
What We’re Looking For:
Valid Psychiatric Technician license issued by the BVNPTE (or be within 4 months of completing an accredited program).
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must meet one of the following:
Hold permanent civil service status
Be reachable on an employment list
Have transfer or reinstatement eligibility
Or: Take and pass the examination
