Total Artificial Heart (TAH)

Conditions treated:

• Adult Congenital Heart Disease
• Angina (Chest Pain)
• Aortic Aneurysm
• Aortic Disease
• Arrhythmia
• Arteriosclerosis
• Atrial Fibrillation
• Cardiac Amyloidosis
• Cardiac Arrest

With the only heart transplant center and the only adult and teen congenital heart center in the Inland Northwest

Required Qualifications:

\n

\n
\n

\n

• \n Graduation from an accredited nursing program. \n
• \n Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License \n
• \n Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association \n
• \n National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire \n
• \n 1-year acute care experience with the patient population similar to department of hire or completion of the specialty residency located at the facility. \n

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered RN Washington state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
• One year of work experience as Cardiac Care Transplant Registered Nurse
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
