Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath lab pre/post unit is a PCU level of care unit that provides excellent care for a variety of patients. We provide care preoperatively/postoperatively for TEE, Cardioversion, port placements, UFEs, EP ablations, Cardiac Diagnostic and intervention procedures, G/GJ/J tube replacement/insertion .

Nursing skills gained on this unit:

• Critical Care assessment skills
• Procedural unit teamwork/collaboration
• Flexibility/Adaptability in patient care and procedures/techniques

Unit Successes/Designations:

• Started an EP program in 2023
• Adding a 3 rd Procedure lab in early 2025
• Growing our team in 2025

Qualifications

• Must have one year of RN experience.
• Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
