Ball Memorial's adult progressive care unit is an 18-bed unit specializes in providing exceptional care for patients transitioning from progressive to medical levels of care. The most common diagnoses are pulmonary edema, respiratory failure, GI hemorrhage, heart failure, sepsis, stroke, respiratory system diagnosis with chronic ventilator support, and renal failure. Join our dynamic team on the Progressive Care Unit using the innovative Team-Based Acuity Adaptable Model (TBAAM). Our dedicated team includes skilled nurses, patient care assistants, a unit secretary, an RN case manager, a geographically placed physician, a pharmacist, and a dietician.
Experience the synergy of interdisciplinary rounding, a cornerstone of our communication strategy, fostering collaboration between nursing, patients, and their families. Our focus is on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Our nurses are all ACLS and NIH certified and are committed to continuous improvement and innovation creating a supportive and efficient work environment. Qualifications
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
