Position Summary
| Brief Description of PSU/School/Dept | The PSU Center for Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) is a nationally accredited healthcare facility that offers medical, counseling, dental, and health promotion/education services to students of Portland State University. The center consists of over 100 clinical and administrative staff, and there are currently 16,800 students eligible to use SHAC services. SHAC Health Services enhances the overall health and wellbeing of Portland State University students by providing same-day appointments, primary care, and preventative healthcare. Health Services provides health education, screenings, immunizations, laboratory & x-ray services, reproductive and sexual health, and well as acupuncture. |

SHAC Health Services enhances the overall health, safety, and wellbeing of Portland State University Students by providing same-day, primary, and preventative health care. Health Services provides health education, screenings, immunizations, laboratory & x-ray, and specialized care. The purpose of this position is to provide nursing care to Portland State University students and emergency care to students, faculty, staff and visitors. Also assists in the health education of PSU students. |

| Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement | The starting salary rate for this position will be between $32.15 $37.03. The starting salary may be negotiable above this range, however, it will be dependent upon the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities of the chosen candidate, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR. PSU's excellent benefits package includes 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon Public Universities.
