Job Summary | The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing Undergraduate Program is seeking a Special Title Series (tenure-eligible) Assistant Professor. This position is a 12-month appointment with an anticipated Distribution of Effort of about 50-70% Teaching and Advising, 0-20% Clinical Practice Activities, 5-20% Research and Scholarly Activity, and 5-10% Service/Professional Development which will be reviewed annually. This posting will remain open until filled. Applicants will be reviewed as received. We anticipate a start date on July 1, 2025, but no later than August 1, 2025. This position is based onsite in Lexington, KY, and will assist in resourcing the undergraduate program instruction with expertise in medical-surgical, critical care, adult health nursing, informatics, and or pathopharmacology. This position may have assignments in professional role and identity. This position involves developing, coordinating, and teaching content in the undergraduate programs accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education(CCNE). Responsibilities include classroom and online instruction, supervision and mentoring of students in undergraduate courses. The candidate should have experience with advising and successful teaching of adult students, possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. The required education and experience include an earned doctoral degree in nursing or related field, with clinical experience and competence in the appropriate nursing specialty of appointment. A minimum of two years' experience of professional nursing within the last five years and an active unencumbered Kentucky license as a registered nurse is required.
