- Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor Position in Computer Information Systems
Description
The Computer Information Systems (CIS) Program in the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Houston–Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position. The starting date is anticipated to be August 2026. The successful candidate is expected to
- develop and teach undergraduate and graduate CIS courses,
- establish an appropriate research program that leads to peer reviewed publications,
- provide service to the program, university and profession.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements: The successful candidate must have earned a Doctorate degree in Information Systems or a closely related field by the time the position starts. All areas of emphasis will be considered. A successful candidate must be strongly committed to undergraduate and graduate teaching. Other major responsibilities include pursuing research programs and providing service at various levels.
Preferred Requirements: Preference will be given to candidates with background and interests in teaching data analytics or related fields. Preference will also be given to candidates who have a record of actively seeking external funding.
