Description

Bunk Counselors are the heart of Camp SAY and provide direct support for our campers. Each activity period will consist of groups of counselors collaborating to support campers of various age groups. In their assigned cabin, counselors will work closely with a co-counselor supporting 8-12 campers in the overnight bunk experience. The bunk experience consists of bunk chats, prepping campers for bedtime, waking up together, getting ready for the day, bonding activities, supporting campers in building peer relationships, and creating and maintaining a positive cabin atmosphere. 

Requirements

Availability to work on site Sunday July 12, 2026 through Saturday, August 1, 2026

Ability to withstand periods of time in the Texas summer heat

Caring, nurturing, and fun personality

Background check required

Camp SAY is a two week overnight camp for kids who stutter. Our philosophy is simple: EVERYONE (campers, staff, people who stutter, and people who don't stutter) has as much time as they need to say what the want to say. 

Room and board provided. Travel Reimbursement available.
